If you are
having difficulty such as broken images, some links not working, or other
sections don't seem to work properly, the following should help. Likey
it is browser, firewall, ad-blockers, or other plugins/software settings
to blame. This site has been tested in IE, Netscape, Firefox, and Mozilla
browsers with no problems reported.
.
Many
pages here use simple JavaScript to accomplish tasks such as link options
to other pages or providing e-mail addreses and contact info that spammers
have trouble gleaning. The forums also make use of this for certain features.
Let me ASSURE you, there is NO malicious code here whatsoever, and I do
not collect or compile ANY information. It is simply in place to thwart
many of the turds on the net today with little respect for others and no
concept of proper netiquette. Please allow "Scripts" or "Active Content"
while visiting this site or some of the funcionality and the associated
features may be unavailable to you.
.
Some
pages here make use of shockwave flash to display re-sizable, zoomable
images to make viewing possible at lower screen resolutions. Most modern
browsers come equipped with the necessary plugins, however in some cases
it may be necessary to install the plugin in order to veiw the flash content.
.
Sometimes
text here might appear to stretch and wrap abnormally or look as if it
were just too big for the rest of the page. The pages here are designed
to accomodate normal font or text settings. IE in particular seems to default
to a text size of "Medium" (or even larger in the case of the AOL versions
of IE which in the real world is disproportional). The site has been designed
with realistic font sizes with a minimum of 8pt and in very few places
a maximum of 15pt. If text here seems to be a bit "Fisher Price" and you
find it annoying try setting your default text size to either "Smaller"
or "Smallest". It is nothing we are doing here. FireFox and Mozilla users
will likely not experience this problem but Konqueror users may also wind
up with "Kiddie Fonts" with the default font settings.
.
Hotlinking
had become enough of a problem here that action had to be taken and strict
policies put in place. This may be in part what may be causing problems
while browsing this site. Nearly always some simple settings in your browser,
firewall, ad-blocker, or anonymous browsing plugins/utilities will correct
the problems. Common symptoms include broken images, links not working,
or if the forums are enabled, cookies not being set/modified and therefore
functionality lost. There are no devious or mailcios scripts or inappropriate
use of cookies here so please allow them.
.
In
an effort to combat hotlinking and track malicious activity, the site is
configured to make use of the "referer" information normally sent by a
visitor's browser. Some firewalls, ad blockers, anti-spyware, and "anonymous
browsing" plugins or software sometimes strips this informatoin when a
visitor's browser requests a page from this site. If this happens and the
"referer" information is not sent to this site (or it is forged), and as
a result the visitor is not likely to get very far. If you use one of these
utilities please allow the "referer" field to be sent to this site if you
wish to obtain information. If you are not sure how to do this please read
the documentation for your firewall or anonymous browsing utility or contact
their help departments. There may also be sections of this site that will
require the use of cookies. Please allow "referer" information to be sent
and enable cookies for matsumoku.net to fully utilize the
resources here. Although not mandatory, Javascript should also be enabled
for matsumoku.net in your browser's settings as some links
will not work otherwise.
Some
search engines (in particular image search engines) will cache pages but
not images wich will invariably generate broken images. Another site framing
this one will likely genearate the same kind of trashed display, rendering
the page without the correct images.
